Rockland Yacht Club Launch Service
Our convenient launch service is available to all boaters in Rockland Harbor. Our Club launch, “Ginnie T,” is based at the Rockland Public Landing, near our Clubhouse and the Harbormaster's office. We begin service in early June and continue into September (schedule below).
Cost:
- Transport on the launch is provided at no extra charge to Full members of the Rockland Yacht Club and their accompanied guests.
- For all others, the cost in 2026 is $10 minumum one way, multi-person to/from the same location $7/person one way. Payment by cash or venmo. Drivers will accept cash (especially for tips!).
- There are multi-trip punch cards available for purchase.
Locations served:
- Rockland Harbor is home to several marinas and boating facilities at which the launch can pick you up or drop you off. We no longer provide rides to the lighthouse or breakwater docks but do server North Central and south end of the Harbor within 1/2 mile of shore.
How to contact:
- Launch drivers respond to “RYC Launch” on VHF Ch 9 or take ride requests on the launch cell phone: 207/233-2800. You can also walk out to "GinnieT's" berth at the Rockland Public Landing and board the launch when it returns to home base.
2025 schedule (June 6 – September 13):
- Beginning Saturday, June 6 the launch will operate daily as follows
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) 8:00am until 8:00pm
- Weekdays (Tuesdays) June 9th, June 16th 10:00am until 8:00pm
- Weekdays (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursday, Friday) June 8th till June 18th 10:00am until 6:00pm
- Friday June 19th 10:00am until 8:00pm
- Monday June 22nd - Sunday, September 13th 8:00am until 8:00pm
- Late season dates may include reduced hours during weekdays, TBD
